About the course

Minecraft CraftForge Intermediate is a programming course where the game obeys code. Students dive deep into Python syntax (variables, functions, lists, loops) for procedural generation: their scripts build fractal cities, giant pixel art, and mazes in seconds. Using Datapacks, they rewrite Minecraft's core logic — creating custom events, scoreboards, and fully original mini-games — while practicing how to assign tasks to Sparks, the AI assistant.

Who this course is for

A child fascinated by video games

We'll teach your kid to build them from scratch — so screen time becomes time well spent.

A child who wants to give coding a shot

In the very first lesson, your kid will write their first lines of code. By the end of the course, they'll have their own game to show for it.

A child who is already interested in coding

We'll explore their interests further, whether that's writing clean code, debugging projects, or working the way real developers do.

What your child will learn in this course

In 10 modules your child will master Python, world generators, and Datapack architecture, and take an original project from idea to Demo Day presentation

Real Python

Your child learns fundamental syntax: loops, data types, arguments, and functions. Code becomes the main working tool.

World Generators

They will write powerful algorithms that automatically generate forests, cities, and structures from thousands of blocks in seconds.

Working with Datapacks

They will learn to change Minecraft's core rules by creating custom game events, timers, scoreboards, and recipes.

Engineering with AI

They will set clear technical tasks for Sparks AI, conduct code reviews, and optimize their algorithms.

Creating Mini-Games

They will follow the path of a technical game designer: programming arenas, balancing rules, and testing games with friends.

Demo Day Presentation

They will independently take a project from concept to full release and confidently present it to an audience.

Meet your mentor
The session begins with getting to know your kid – what they enjoy, what inspires them, and how they like to learn and explore. Many children feel shy or unsure at first, so we focus on building trust and creating a calm, supportive atmosphere where they feel confident and at ease.

My son is very satisfied with his classes at Kodland. He has an excellent tutor, and the online lessons work smoothly without any technical issues. I always receive fast and helpful responses from the company whenever I reach out.

I've already learned how to do web design. I've created some really good websites including a pizzeria website.

The classes are actually fun. Last week we had a competition to see who could make the funniest bot. And when you mess up, nobody freaks out about it, they just help you fix it. That's huge for me. And I actually helped my friend with his computer science homework and he got an A! Now everyone thinks I'm some kind of coding wizard, which is pretty cool.

My son struggles with making friends — school's been tough for him. I was nervous about putting him in another group situation, even in an online format. But here something clicked. He was partnered with another kid on a project, and now they're basically inseparable. They FaceTime and text constantly... It's exactly what I'd hoped for!

Noah's problem was he liked everything — coding one day, design the next, then drawing , etc. We didn't want to drop money on a course only for him to lose interest two weeks in. The mentor in the first lesson suggested game development since it combines coding and visuals. Smart call! Noah's been glued to his first game project ever since. He finally found his thing.
